What to look for when your brand no longer feels like you.
Recently, I’ve had many conversations around the question, “When is the right time to invest in branding?” So I feel called to share my answer here on the blog.
First, let’s start with this truth that I always preface: there is no one path that looks the same for everyone. Some entrepreneurs invest in branding before they even launch. Others may wait years before defining their brand identity.
Either way—if you’re here reading this, you might be sensing that something’s shifting.
So here are a few key signs to consider when discerning if now is the time to create (or recreate) a brand that fully reflects you.
You’re not confident sharing your business.
Are you hesitating when someone asks you what you do? Have you spent hours picking apart your next post? Does your stomach drop when having to share your website? First, if the answer is yes to any of these questions, you aren’t alone. It’s so understandable. If your brand doesn’t feel like you, it becomes harder to show up fully. Your brand is an expression of you. You deserve to feel proud and energized to create it in – and feel confident it portrays all that you have to share with your audience.
You’ve evolved in the way you show up in your business.
Building a business will show you who you really are—and continuously invite you to evolve. So chances are, you’ve grown. Maybe how you speak, serve, or lead has changed. Now your brand needs to reflect that. Whatever the shift, one thing is certain: you’re not who you were when you started. Your visuals, your voice, your vibe—it all deserves to grow with you.
